Daily ‘face’ of our Section that will interface with attendees to offer suggestions for local opportunities to partake of what our city has to offer, make reservations if necessary, arrange transportation if necessary. Dispense directions/ maps to local attractions/restaurants for those that have transportation or are willing to walk to the Metro.
Responsible for coordination of Section Meeting and its requirements. Will interact with Section Board, Summit Leaders, and possibly Hotel Staff.
Willing to set up and tear down any necessary equipment being used for the Section Meeting.
Represent ISA and Section in Automation Federation Alliance Booth.
Available to fulfill non-technical needs presented by FIRST coordinators on the day of event. No telling what responsibilities this might entail as it will be ‘on demand’.

Program Speakers.
The program is a critical portion of our ISA Section - the program meetings and topics are key to driving membership, sponsorship, meeting attendance and overall Section 'buzz'. You MUST be an ISA member to qualify. You will meet with a committee of 5 Industry Peers to develop a working list of programs for the ISA 2011-2012 program year. Your time committment will consist of meeting four times between 5/1/11 and 8/1/11 in an informal setting, the final meeting having the purpose of producing a workable program schedule for posting. to volunteer. This is a perfect place to volunteer if you have always wanted to help out with the Section, but feel that you do not have the time available to take on a more consistent role.
The secretary keeps track of the business of the Section and functions primarily as a record keeper and correspondent. The usual functions of the secretary are
Issue the agenda and announcements of all official meetings.
Take and maintain minutes of all section Executive Board meetings.
Maintain records of monthly meeting programs and agendas.
Correspond with ISA Staff, District and Section officers, and with other individuals and groups as may be necessary.
Safeguard legal documents such as the Section Charter, Bylaws, corporate seal, contracts, etc.
Serve as parliamentarian in interpreting and applying the Section's and the Society's Bylaws, and in the conduct of official meetings of the Section.
Assist the President and Executive Board in other duties as necessary.
The Section Treasurer shall have general supervision of the funds and financial records of the Section. As Treasurer he/she shall:
Establish and maintain proper accounting procedures for all Section funds.
Enter receipts and disbursements in the Section's books.
Deposit all moneys received in a bank account approved by the Section's governing board.
Make disbursements authorized by the Section's governing board. The Treasurer will prepare checks and submit them to the authorized co-signer for signature.
Provide for the custody and safekeeping of investments approved by the Section's governing board.
Prepare interim financial statements and report the Section's financial status to the governing board and to the membership in such form and frequency (preferably monthly) as they may direct.
Periodically compare actual revenues and expenses to the Section's budget.
Close the Section's books at the end of the fiscal year and submit them for audit to an independent accountant or internal audit committee. The audited report must be prepared in time for review by the governing board at their first meeting following the close of the fiscal year. A copy of the annual financial report is to be sent to the Director of Finance & Administration at ISA Headquarters.
Assist in preparing the Section's budget. The budget should be approved by the board at its first meeting.
File all required tax returns on a timely basis.
At the expiration of the term of office, the Treasurer shall deliver to his successor:
• Checkbooks and journals. • Files containing receipts, invoices and bank statements. • Tax returns. • Section tax exemption ruling, certificate of incorporation, Bylaws • Insurance policies. • All other records in his charge.
In the absence of a successor, such records shall be delivered to the Section President.
Oversee the physical documentation distributed to the members and supporting corporations of the Section. Will work in step with the Marketing Chair.
Assist the Marketing Chair in the performance of their duties which include:
Developing media contacts for publicizing the meetings and activities of the Section.
Preparing and circulating news releases concerning Section elections and appointments, meeting
