A Time for Giving Back and Receiving!

Gift to Ranken

Gregg August, a former member of ISA and an Automation and Control Engineer passed away of a heart attack at the age of 47. Although he has passed, because of his desire to give back and see a new generation of Automation professionals develop their skills, he made the request that his personal library of ISA books be donated to Ranken Technical College. Accepting this donation is Kurt Trice of Ranken. Ranken and ISASTL would like to extend our thanks to Gregg's mother for making this extensive donation of knowledge possible.

Vatterott Donation

Another book from the personal library of Gregg August, the ISA Autobok (edited by long time ISASTL member Vernon Trevathan), was donated to the students of Vatterott College. Accepting on behalf of the students at Vatterott is Electrical Program Director Jim Ramming. The gift of knowledge is priceless. Thanks once again go out to Gregg's mother for taking the initiative to make this donation possible.

The St. Louis Section has been awarded its second consecutive Section Performance Award for Superlative achievement in Section management and Member Service and for most points garnered among Medium Gold Sections!

"Congratulations to our local membership. It was both my privilege and honor to accept this award on your behalf. Without your participation, this most certainly would not have been possible! I am VERY proud of each and every one of you and of the effort that you put in last year to share in the Section being recognized with this Award! Let's do it again next year!" - Jeff
